B@ND is an Employee Resource Group at Nextdoor that cultivates community and champions the advancement of Black employees. They aim to educate Nextdoor leaders and staff on the challenges and experiences of Black people across identities, support Nextdoor in its efforts to create an inclusive and equitable workforce and culture, and support and empower the communities we operate in.

To ensure Nextdoor welcomes employees of all cultures from all backgrounds, Halal aims to achieve diverse recruitment and hiring processes. We would like to support career growth and deepen relations across teams and cultures. We also seek to engage Nextdoor in wider community conversations and initiatives supporting healthy tech culture.

Jew-ish is here to be a resource for all Jewish employees who seek support in their Nextdoor careers, connect with fellow Jew-ish neighbors, and celebrate our faith and culture. While the world remains very complicated, we will endeavor to find the joy of being Jewish by celebrating events and holidays throughout the year, building bridges where we can, and being a source of support and comfort for one another during happy and trying times. 

Kindness & Inclusion @ Nextdoor (KIND) is the original ERG at Nextdoor. Its mission has evolved over the years and today is focused on allyship and belonging for all Nextdoor employees. The group meets biweekly and hosts a variety of events from conversations focusing on anti-racism, leadership, and allyship to our monthly new employee welcome lunch. KIND is a great place for Nextdoor employees to learn how to become better allies and to create a welcoming environment for all.

MIND (Mental Health In Nextdoor) is an Employee Resource Group at Nextdoor that focuses on mental wellness and neurodiversity. MIND is building a community for all Nextdoor employees to manage, maintain, and mobilize mental health. We provide a safe space and tools to inspire all to show up as their authentic selves. This equips our employees to support their communities on and offline.

Namaste @ Nextdoor is a community for South Asian employees to connect, support, and celebrate our heritage while fostering meaningful relationships within and beyond Nextdoor. We provide a private space for discussions on topics like immigration, cultural differences, and shared experiences. Through leadership development, recognition, and cultural celebrations, we create an inclusive ‘internal neighborhood’ that empowers members and enriches our workplace with South Asian traditions and perspectives.

Rainbowhood is dedicated to fostering meaningful connections and embracing diversity in our hiring practices. We prioritize diversity in our workplace and champion inclusivity for our LGBTQ+ community. Our mission is to create a safe and welcoming environment where everyone can express their authentic selves.

SEA aims to serve Nextdoor employees with East/Southeast Asian origins and fellow employees who are interested in East/Southeast Asian culture. We provide an open community to seek career development advice; we create a relaxing space for employees to comfortably share culture-related work and personal experience, and help bridge cultural gaps; we welcome any East/Southeast Asian culture-related questions and discussions, and share East/Southeast Asian culture with the broader Nextdoor neighborhood.

Vecinos is a Latinx/Hispanic employee-led ERG that provides a private forum for examination and discussion on contemporary issues within the Latinx/Hispanic community at Nextdoor. Vecinos provides an environment to develop leadership skills, recognize achievements, and to offer support as an internal “neighborhood.”

Women In the Neighborhood (WIN) is an Employee Resource Group that strives to build a community that supports women and gender minorities (WGM) at Nextdoor. We aim to provide an inclusive space focused on discussion, development, and connection.
