    Heidi Andersen

    Head of Revenue and Marketing

    Heidi is Nextdoor’s Head of Revenue and Marketing, overseeing the global revenue team, revenue streams, and marketing. She joined Nextdoor after serving at LinkedIn and Google.

    Prior to joining Nextdoor, Heidi served as LinkedIn’s Vice President of Global Sales, where she built the Global Online Sales Organization under LinkedIn’s Marketing Solutions division. She founded the business unit and grew it to $1B+. Prior to LinkedIn, Heidi worked in Google’s AdWords Sales group and helped build Google’s Display Ads Business to $5B+.

    Matt Anderson

    Chief Financial Officer

    Matt is Nextdoor’s Chief Financial Officer, overseeing all corporate financial activities including financial and strategic planning, accounting and reporting, investor relations, internal audit, and treasury and tax functions. Before joining Nextdoor, Matt served in a number of senior finance roles for Block, Inc. (Square), where he led a range of finance functions and was responsible for strategic planning and public and private capital raising, including in its initial public offering in 2015.

    Matt also brings experience as a principal investor from his time at GI Partners. Matt began his career in investment banking at Barclays and Lehman Brothers. Matt has a B.A. in Economics and International Area Studies from UCLA.

    Matt is from Sacramento, California and now resides in the Bay Area with his wife and three children.

    Sarah Friar

    CEO

    Sarah Friar is Nextdoor’s Chief Executive Officer. Sarah is a recognized leader in technology, community building, and financial services.

    Prior to Nextdoor, Sarah served as Chief Financial Officer at Block, Inc. (Square). Under Sarah’s leadership, the company launched its initial public offering in 2015 and added $30Bn in market cap. Sarah co-founded and launched Square Capital, their lending product for small and mid-sized businesses. Before her tenure at Block, Inc. (Square), Sarah served as Senior Vice President of Finance & Strategy at Salesforce. Sarah also held executive roles at Goldman Sachs, as well as leadership positions at McKinsey in both London and South Africa.

    Sarah sits on the board of Walmart and the advisory board of Operation HOPE. Sarah is a Fellow of the inaugural class of the Finance Leaders Fellowship Program, a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network, and co-founder of Ladies Who Launch, a network that mentors and inspires women entrepreneurs and business owners. She was named to the 2023 NACD Directorship 100 selection, an annual recognition of the leading corporate directors, corporate governance experts, policymakers, and influencers who significantly impact boardroom practices and performance.

    Sarah grew up in Northern Ireland and earned her MEng in Metallurgy, Economics, and Management from the University of Oxford and her MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where she graduated as an Arjay Miller scholar. She holds an honorary doctorate from Ulster University and in 2019 was granted an OBE from Queen Elizabeth II for services to entrepreneurship.

    Jose Gaztelu

    Head of Global Market Operations and Corporate Strategy

    Jose is the Head of Global Market Operations and Corporate Strategy at Nextdoor, overseeing operations for global market teams including U.S. and international, as well as spearheading corporate strategy development, working to align operations with Nextdoor’s mission and goals.

    Having worked in multiple corners of the globe, including leading positions at Domestika, Houzz, and Global Fashion Group, Jose’s expertise spans global market strategy and operations. He also held senior positions at McKinsey & Company in New York and Madrid. Fluent in Spanish and English, and conversational in French and German, Jose holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a Master’s in Image Processing and Television Systems from Ecole Nationale Superieure des Telecommunication in Paris.     James Kelm

    Head of Product

    James Kelm is Nextdoor’s Head of Product, overseeing Nextdoor’s global product management and design teams. Prior to joining Nextdoor, James was VP of Product Management at Twitter.

    James brings 17 years of product management experience. During his 5 years at Twitter, James led multiple product areas including self service revenue products, organic business features and Twitter for Professionals, and Twitter Shopping. Prior to Twitter James built and scaled native and video ads syndication at Yahoo and led product for Flurry Analytics. James began his product experience as a product planner at Apple before moving into product management at Google, where he worked Google Shopping and mobile AdSense. James holds an engineering degree from Columbia University and an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.

    Craig Lisowski

    Head of Engineering, Data, Information Systems & Trust

    Craig is Nextdoor’s Head of Engineering, Data, Information Systems, and Trust. Before joining Nextdoor, Craig was Head of Business Platform Engineering at Block, Inc. (Square). Prior to that, Craig held leadership roles at Silicon Graphics, VeriSign, and Oracle.

    Craig brings more than 20 years of wide-ranging experience in engineering, data analytics, business development, and IT. Most recently, Craig was Head of Business Platform Engineering at Block, Inc. (Square) for nearly six years, where he oversaw large scale data systems to track money movement for all products, led multiple engineering functions for compliance, direct e-commerce sales, customer success, as well as information technology. Craig also held various technology and business leadership roles at Silicon Graphics, VeriSign, and Oracle. Craig attended Carleton University.

    John Orta

    Head of Legal & Corporate & Business Development

    John is Nextdoor’s Head of Legal & Corporate Development and oversees the legal, policy and corporate development teams. Before joining Nextdoor, John was General Counsel & Chief People Officer at Metromile, and SVP & General Counsel at OpenTable.

    John joined Nextdoor from Metromile, the leader in pay-per-mile auto insurance where he was the Chief People Officer & General Counsel. Prior to his role at Metromile, John was SVP & General Counsel at OpenTable, leading the legal team during the company’s IPO in 2009, and OpenTable’s purchase by The Priceline Group in 2014. Adjacent to his role at Nextdoor, John is also a professor at the University of San Francisco School of Law. John is a proud graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara. He also received a JD from the University of San Francisco School of Law and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.

    Bryan Power

    Head of People

    Bryan is Nextdoor’s Head of People. He was most recently Chief Human Resources Officer at Yahoo. Bryan held a similar role at Square and prior to that spent eight years at Google.

    Bryan Power brings more than 20 years of human resources and talent acquisition experience to Nextdoor – most recently as Chief Human Resources Officer at Yahoo. Throughout his time at Yahoo, Bryan was responsible for leading the global People Team, serving more than 10,000 employees in 30 offices across the Americas, EMEA and APAC. Prior to Yahoo, Bryan held a similar role at Square, successfully growing the company from 350 to 1600 employees, and ramping employee programs and HR infrastructure ahead of the company’s successful public offering in November 2015. Previous to Square, Bryan spent eight years at Google. He is also a board member of Avenica, a U.S. recruiting firm that focuses on placing recent college graduates into entry-level career-track positions, as well as an advisor to a number of high growth tech companies in San Francisco.
