Sarah Friar, CEO

Prior to serving as Nextdoor’s CEO, Sarah was CFO of Square. Under Sarah’s leadership, Square launched its initial public offering in 2015 and added $30Bn in market cap. Before her tenure at Square, Sarah served as SVP of Finance & Strategy at Salesforce. Sarah also held executive roles at Goldman Sachs, as well as leadership positions at McKinsey in both London and South Africa. Sarah sits on the boards of Walmart and Slack, and is currently the Board Vice-Chair of Spark, a nonprofit serving at-risk middle school students through mentorship. Sarah earned her MEng in Metallurgy, Economics, and Management from the University of Oxford and her MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where she graduated as an Arjay Miller scholar. Mike Doyle, CFO

Mike has more than 20 years experience in corporate finance. Before joining Nextdoor, he served as CFO at Despegar, Latin America’s largest travel agency, where he led the company’s successful IPO in 2017. Doyle also served as CFO at eLong, a China-based online travel agency and has held leadership roles at Expedia, Teledesic, and GIC (Government of Singapore Investment Corporation). As Chief Financial Officer of Nextdoor, Doyle oversees all corporate financial activities including financial and strategic planning, accounting and reporting, treasury and tax functions. Prakash Janakiraman, Co-Founder and Chief Architect

Prakash began his career as a software engineer at Excite@Home in 1996 before moving into engineering management at Shopping.com and Epinions. Prior to Nextdoor, Prakash spent nearly three years at Google, where he managed engineering teams for Google Maps, Google Base, and Froogle. Craig Lisowski, Head of Data, Information Systems and Trust

Craig oversees Nextdoor’s data engineering, BI, and IT teams to build stable and scalable data platforms, focusing on platform integrity, and building out our third-party business systems to streamline operational efficiency across all teams. Craig brings more than 20 years of wide-ranging experience in engineering, data analytics, business development, and third-party business systems and IT. Most recently, Craig was Head of Business Platform Engineering at Square for nearly six years, where he oversaw traditional corporate information systems and IT teams, built large scale data systems to track money movement for all products, led multiple engineering functions for compliance, direct e-commerce sales, customer success and handled all internal management reporting. Craig also held various technology and business leadership roles at Silicon Graphics, VeriSign, and Oracle. Tatyana Mamut, Head of Product

Tatyana brings an impressive track record of running and scaling product, design, and engineering teams at Amazon and Salesforce, and previously co-led the global Organization Design team at IDEO. She’s also built consumer engagement platforms for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and worked with nonprofits like The Community Builders to plan smart and healthy mixed-income communities. In addition to Product Management, Tatyana leads Design and Insights teams. She is currently a fellow at Sapphire Ventures, board member at Advancing Women in Product, and has served as a technical advisor for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Lauren Nemeth, Chief Revenue Officer

As Chief Revenue Officer, Lauren oversees advertising sales, client services, business operations, real estate services and field marketing. She joined Nextdoor from Amobee, a leading global digital marketing technology company, where she served also served as Chief Revenue Officer. Prior to her role at Amobee, Lauren held the same role at Turn following her tenure as Chief Operating Officer at URX, the predictive mobile search engine, acquired by Pinterest in 2016. Lauren spent the first decade of her career at Google, DoubleClick and AppNexus, driving data and programmatic strategies across display, video and mobile platforms. Download Lauren’s photo

John Orta, Head of Legal and Corporate & Business Development

John joined Nextdoor from Metromile, the leader in pay-per-mile auto insurance as its Chief People Officer & General Counsel. Prior to his role at Metromile, John was SVP & General Counsel at OpenTable, leading the legal team during the company’s IPO in 2009, and OpenTable’s purchase by The Priceline Group in 2014. Adjacent to his role at Nextdoor, John is also a professor at the University of San Francisco School of Law. John oversees all aspects of the company’s legal and risk teams. John grew up in Phoenix, AZ and is a proud graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara. Bryan Power, Head of People

Bryan Power brings more than 20 years of human resources and talent acquisition experience to Nextdoor – most recently as Chief Human Resources Officer at Yahoo. Throughout his time at Yahoo, Bryan was responsible for leading the global People Team, serving more than 10,000 employees in 30 offices across the Americas, EMEA and APAC. Prior to Yahoo, Bryan held a similar role at Square, successfully growing the company from 350 to 1600 employees, and ramping employee programs and HR infrastructure ahead of the company’s successful public offering in November 2015. Previous to Square, Bryan spent eight years at Google. He is also a board member of Avenica, a U.S. recruiting firm that focuses on placing recent college graduates into entry-level career-track positions, as well as an advisor to a number of high growth tech companies in San Francisco.
